Millard Hawk Primary School is holding its Kindergarten registration on May 7, 2015. If you have a child who is eligible for Kindergarten, please call the MHP office to schedule a registration appointment. Kindergarten screening will take place on May 27 and your child will need to attend. Please call the MHP office, 668-4310, with any questions. Thank you!
The Central Square Central School District intends to offer Universal Pre-K (UPK) sessions in several of its elementary school locations in September 2015. Applications will be mailed April 1. If your child is not in our system and you do not receive an application, they are available in the main office of each elementary school and also in the Superintendent’s Office. UPK is open to the children of district residents who will be four on or before December 1, 2015. The program is free of charge. A random selection method is used according to the stipulations of the NYS grant. Transportation is not provided. Students eligible for Kindergarten are not eligible for UPK. Again this year, we will provide an Integrated Pre-K and the UPK students will be randomly selected to attend this program. The UPK classes follow the district calendar and meet for two and ½ hours each day with transportation provided by participating families. Each class has a maximum of 18 students, a certified teacher, and a teaching assistant. Applications must be returned to the district office by May 1. Please contact Shelly Smiedy, Millard Hawk Primary School Secretary, or Lorraine Malecki, Principal and UPK district liaison, at 668-4310 for an application or additional information.
